Peter Long has formed this London-based big band by selecting musicians with individual sounds similar to the original Ellington sidemen, like Cat Anderson, Cootie Williams, Joe Nanton, Barney Bigard, Johnny Hodges or Harry Carney. The results are amazingly truthful to the original DUKE ELLINGTON ORCHESTRA sound.
